As experienced educators, we know that confidence – not intelligence – is often the biggest barrier to great learning. Our specialist approach develops that confidence holistically, by giving students at every level the space, time and personalised teaching they may not always be able to access in mainstream school. In turn, this helps them flourish in ways they never thought possible. The results are a revelation, and we’re not just talking exams.
Specialising in English, Maths, Science and MFL, our experienced, fully-qualified teachers work face-to-face and online with 4-18 year-olds from all over the region. We’re delighted to be supporting them and their families, and honoured that they think of us as part of their ‘village’.

Kathryn is proud to be Calder Valley born and bred, with strong family ties here going back generations. She still lives in the valley today, and is fanatical about supporting the local community by helping its children and their families.
Kathryn went to school in Calderdale herself and now has two boys of her own in the local school system, so she knows first-hand the kind of issues facing the valley’s young learners. In her professional life, she’s a secondary English specialist with 15 years’ teaching experience. She’s also an exam board examiner and coaches for the School’s mental health award for Leeds Beckett University.
